My name is Angie Park aka 박은주 (she/her), a 2nd generation Korean-American from Los Angeles, California. I am a trained rights & trauma-informed' Birth & Postpartum Doula and a work-in-progress childbirth educator. My journey into birthwork came from a deep interest in the history of Asian/Korean womyn, birth-rites and a belief that understanding our history, womynhood, and our own reproductive choices are important in recognizing our full humanity & ending cycles of cultural patriarchy deeply embedded within and around us.

Here’s a few things I believe:

• I believe that every birthing bodies deserves care, patience, compassion, the right to make an informed choice, and standing quality doula care regardless of their socio-economic standing.

• I believe in birthworkers as activists. We need community, advocacy, reproductive/birth justice and education to tackle the health inequities effecting BBIPOC communities.

• I believe every person has the right to have a child, the right to not have a child, and the right to parent children in safe and healthy environments.

• I believe in sexual autonomy & gender freedom for every human being
